Circus Center at Wonder World

The original Circus Center suffered greatly from the lack of custom scenery. There was no way to create circus tents with the scenery that came with the game. So once I learned how to create and import my own custom scenery, it became quite clear that I would have to re-build the land from the ground up, unlike Expo 3000, which was only augmented with custom scenery. You can see the huge improvements made by checking out how Circus Center originally looked in the article, "Wonder World...The Story Begins." Circus Center would eventually double in size, but in this article, we'll take a tour of the Circus Center before the expansion.

To the right of the entrance is a large souvenir stand.

The centerpiece of the land is the colorful Carousel.

Beyond the Carousel, towards the back of the land, are a pair of shops and the restrooms.

The Toy Emporium, and next door, the Candy Counter.

The Circus Center Pavilion is the main eatery in the land.

The staple here is hamburgers and hot dogs.

The fast food restaurant features large outdoor dining areas under colorful canopies and brightly colored umbrellas.

For those who like games of skill, the Big Top Game Center houses a midway-style games arcade.

The big attraction at Circus Center is the Center Ring Loop Coaster.

Excited guests line up for a ride on the Loop Coaster.

Inside the boarding station, this train is ready for launch.

Launching out of the station at 50 miles per hour!

The Loop!

The train passes under the elevated walkway, past Expo 3000's Auto Raceway, and up a tall spike, over 100 feet high.

The train then careens backwards, through the loop again. On the elevated walkway, a pair of guests pose for a photo opportunity.

The train races up, or is it down, the tall back spike and into the station.

An aerial view of Circus Center. The large, blue-roofed building in the bottom right corner is the facade for Professor Fate's House of Fun. We will take an in-depth tour of this second major attraction in the next article, soon to follow.
